What to Expect
PSYCHOLOGY SESSIONS
Sessions last for 50 minutes (with an additional 10 minutes dedicated to your record keeping). At the beginning of each session there will be time for you to raise any concerns that you would like to focus on. Specific strategies will be discussed and practiced to assist with those issues. Also it is likely that you will have been working on new skills from prior sessions, so time will be spent reviewing how that is going and fine-tuning any problems. In sessions there is a balance between time for you to talk through what has been going on and also time spent learning and practicing active strategies to address those concerns. Session attendance is usually weekly or fortnightly initially, which becomes less frequent as therapy progresses.
